Dina Dusko
High Road Touring | Agent
ONE-DAY BEST SELLER | Her Memoir, “Why Am I Still Talking?: The Dina Dusko Story,” remains unwritten and unlikely to be published.
Described as a New Jersey native but full-time Californian working out of High Road Touring’s Sausalito office just north of San Francisco, agent Dina Dusko represents artists including Aimee Mann, Anna St. Louis, Cowboy Junkies, Emmylou Harris, Indigo Girls, Luna, Rickie Lee Jones, Suzanne Vega and Yo La Tengo, among others. While we wait for her memoir, here’s a look at Dusko’s story in her own words.
2025 Highlights
“Indigo Girls and Melissa Etheridge’s 42-city co-headline tour. Two hard-working, dynamic female-led bands working together on and off the stage to bring people together through joyful music. Their shared sense of responsibility to the LGBTQIA+ community and audiences who love them is an unforgettable inspiration.”
How She Got Into The Biz
“I loved going to shows, and since I couldn’t really play, I wanted to be useful. By chance, I started on the promoter side in comedy booking and moved to an agency because it meant representing artists, I needed to learn what an agent really does and how to do it well.”
Women On The Way Up
“There are more of us, and we are represented at every level. It is exciting because we are effecting real change for the better.
“I started working with more women who are performers, agents, managers, tour managers, etc. and looked around, realized I was no longer isolated, and women are seizing live industry opportunities.
“I feel empowered and supported by female colleagues who encourage me to embrace my identity and to support other women in the business. The challenge is to realize no one succeeds in isolation.”
Who Dusko Credits Most
“(High Road founder) Frank Riley. He opened the door wide. Frank is the definition of a responsible agent. He and High Road Touring prove that dedication to the craft is both essential and rewarding.”
Work-Life Balance Pro Tip
“Learning to let go.”
