Not long ago, singer-songwriterTré Burt was doing pretty much everything on his own – busking, touring, recording and releasing his own music, including his debut album, Caught It From The Rye. Then he was discovered by the folks at John Prine‘s Oh Boy Records. They heard the album, picked it up and re-released it, giving Burt’s career a big boost, and a connection to one of his songwriting heroes.

Tré and I recorded this conversation a few weeks ago before Prine’s death; he begins with a performance of his song “Real You” from Caught It From The Rye.
